Setout Kitchen is run by Sujit Mali, an individual based in India, who is responsible for your information: the “controller” or “data fiduciary” in the words of laws such as the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Write to hello@setoutkitchen.com about anything in this policy.

Your Google account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. Setout Kitchen asks Google for nothing else: not your contacts, calendar, files or email.

Credits and purchases. Your credit balance, whether you have bought a pack, and a record of every credit movement: packs bought, with the payment reference, pack and price; images generated; and credits returned when a render fails. Dodo Payments handles the payment itself, so we never see your card details.

Your kitchen projects. Each project saved to your account: its name, room measurements, cabinets and appliances, finishes, notes, service points and any material photos you add, with when it was last saved.

Renders. For each realistic render, the image produced, the style and view you chose, the project name, and the instructions sent to the image model.

Messages. If you use the contact form, your name, email address, topic and message.

Server logs. Our servers record requests and security events, such as sign-ins and blocked attempts. Depending on the event, a log entry can include your IP address, account ID or email address.

While you work, a project is kept in your browser's storage on your device, along with preferences such as your measurement units, so every change is kept at once and the editor keeps working offline.

Projects are also saved to your account, so they open on any device you sign in on and survive clearing your browser data. A project you create is saved to your account as you make it, then after each pause in editing, when you press Save, and as you leave the editor. A project you made before saving to the account existed stays only in your browser until you choose to save it.

A project that is only in your browser is gone if you clear your browser data or lose the device, unless you downloaded a backup, and we cannot recover it.

When you ask for a realistic render, the views captured from that project and a description of its layout are sent to our image provider, as described below.

Setout Kitchen sets three cookies when you sign in, all needed to keep you signed in: two that carry your session, which scripts on the page cannot read, and one that holds your account ID, name, email address and picture so pages can show that you are signed in. They last until you sign out or your session expires.

Google's sign-in script loads on Setout Kitchen's pages so that signing in works. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

To sign you in and keep your account secure; to store your projects and open them wherever you sign in; to generate the renders you ask for and show your render history wherever you sign in; to sell credit packs, keep your balance accurate and handle refunds; to reply to your messages; and to find problems and stop abuse, such as repeated sign-in attempts or automated rendering.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on providing the service you asked for (sign-in, saved projects, renders and credits), our legitimate interest in keeping Setout Kitchen secure and working, and our legal obligation to keep payment records.

We don't sell your information or share it for advertising, and we don't use your projects, photos or renders to train AI models.

Google, to sign you in.

fal.ai, which runs the image model behind realistic renders. When you render, it receives the views captured from your 3D model, or the photo you upload, with a description built from your room measurements, layout and finish names. It does not receive your name, email address or project name. fal.ai passes the request to the maker of the model it runs, currently OpenAI, and stores the images it receives and produces. A generated image is saved at a web address we keep in your account, and anyone who has that address can open the image.

Dodo Payments, which sells credit packs to you as merchant of record. We pass your name and email address to fill in checkout. Dodo collects your payment details and billing address to take the payment, charge any tax, issue your receipt and handle disputes, and tells us when a payment succeeds. Dodo's own privacy policy covers what it collects.

The companies that host Setout Kitchen's website, servers and database, where saved projects are stored, and the service our contact form forwards messages to. They process information only to run Setout Kitchen.

Authorities, when the law requires it. If Setout Kitchen is ever sold or transferred, the new owner receives this information and must keep to this policy for what was collected under it.

Setout Kitchen's providers run servers in several countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires safeguards for those transfers, we rely on the ones our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

Your account, credit history and render records: until you ask us to delete your account.

Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which can continue after your account is deleted.

Contact messages: for as long as we need them to help you. Server logs: for a short period set by our hosting providers.

Generated images: fal.ai keeps them on its own schedule, which can be shorter than the life of your account. Download any render you want to keep.

Projects saved to your account: until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. When your editing period ends they stay in your account, viewable and downloadable.

Projects in your browser: until you delete them or clear your browser data.

Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it. Email hello@setoutkitchen.com from the address you sign in with. A person reads that inbox and replies within seven working days, and a deletion is completed within thirty days.

Depending on where you live, for example the EU, the UK, California or India, you may have further rights, such as objecting to a particular use or complaining to your data protection authority. You will not be treated differently for using any of them.

Deleting your account deletes the projects saved to it. Copies in a browser stay there until you delete them from the Projects page or clear your browser data.

Setout Kitchen is not for children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to buy credits. If the law where you live requires a parent's consent at an older age, you need that consent to use Setout Kitchen. If you think a child under 13 has signed in, email hello@setoutkitchen.com and we will delete the account.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects information we already hold, we will say so on the site before it applies.
